Extended Day Program:
At St Paul the Apostle School we provide for before/after school care of our students. The Extended Day services are available from 7:00 am to 7:30 am and from 3:20 pm to 6:00 pm. The extended Day Director and her assistants supervise the program. The Extended Day program is available on school days and on Parent/Teacher conference day. There is a fee for the use of this program. The school is not responsible for the children before or after these hours.
Philosophy and Goals:
In accordance with the mission and philosophy of the school, the Extended Day Program strives to provide the same nurturing environment for the ongoing development of its students. St. Paul the Apostle Extended Day Program strives to construct an enjoyable atmosphere with varying activities, homework time, and indoor games. The students are offered a nutritious snack and juice daily.
Admission Policies:
Only students enrolled in St. Paul the Apostle School are eligible to enroll in the Extended Day Program. Students may use Extended Day daily or on an "as needed" basis.
Students who have not been picked up from school fifteen minutes after dismissal time will be escorted to the Extended Day Program (cafeteria). (Note: School dismissal time is 3:20 pm and students must be picked up no later than 3:35 pm). The parents will be billed on a bi-weekly basis.
Days and Hours of Operation:
Extended Day services are provided on the days in which school is in session and those days indicated on the school calendar. Extended school services begin at 3:20 pm dismissal until 6:00 pm. Extended Day services are also provided on early dismissal days. Students are responsible for bringing their own lunch on early dismissal days, but the late afternoon snack is provided.
The Extended Day program is open for early drop-off before school beginning at 7:00 am each school day. Parents must make necessary arrangements so that students do not arrive at school earlier than 7:00 am.
Administration of the Program:
Because the Extended Day Program is an extension of the school day, a staff program director is hired by the principal to oversee the daily operation and staff the program.
